A "Picture Spot" At Dollywood
My niece Meghan took this colorful picture of one of Dollywood's most beautiful
"Kodak Picture Spots" on a recent Great Smoky Mountains vacation trip. There are "Kodak
Picture Spots" scattered throughout the park where visitors can, well, take
pictures...hopefully with a Kodak camera.
Soon after Country Music legend Dolly Parton became part owner of the theme park
in 1986, it was renamed Dollywood and expanded on a large scale. It has been one
of the country's top theme parks ever since, and it is now the largest of its
kind in the state of Tennessee.
Meghan and her family visit Dollywood several times a year which gives her
plenty of opportunities to practice her photography skills, and as you can see
from today's picture she's getting quite good at it. It is very difficult to
get a decent exposure when you're shooting into the sun, but she sure nailed
this one! She managed to capture plenty of detail and color while keeping the
foreground bright enough to read the sign. Great job, Meghan! Keep up the good work!
