Larry Sparks Performing On The Pickin' Porch Show
Larry Sparks & The Lonesome Ramblers graced the
Pickin' Porch stage
last night for a special Friday evening performance, and everyone who squeezed
into the Comfort Systems USA Performance Center enjoyed a wonderful evening of
Bluegrass Music by one of the genre's most popular performers.
With a voice as smooth as honey, it didn't take me very long at all to
see why Larry has been awarded the prestigious IBMA Male Vocalist Of The Year
award for the second year in a row. This man can really sing, and he's been
doing it for a long, long time.
The legendary Larry Sparks began his career right at the top in the late 1960's
when he began working with the one and only Ralph Stanley and the Stanley
Brothers. He formed the Lonesome Ramblers in 1969, and they have been thrilling
audiences at Bluegrass festivals and concerts virtually non-stop ever since.
If you have never seen Larry Sparks & The Lonesome Ramblers perform, you owe it
to yourself to get out there and do so. And since their schedule has them
performing all over the United States, they're sure to be coming to a town near
you very soon!
