A Beautiful Maine Sunset
A spectacular sunset has the power to lift one's spirits regardless of how bad
the day was. God uses nature to paint some amazing pictures, and this photo of a
fisherman casting his line into Maine's Penobscot River under a blazing
setting sun is one of the very best.
Maine is among the most beautiful and tranquil of all the United States, and
since it is the easternmost state in the union it is the first to see the sun
rise and the first to see it set. The sun literally greets America on the coast
of Maine each and every morning!
Maine's wild rivers offer plenty of exciting whitewater rafting, canoeing and
kayaking adventures for people at all skill levels. The Penobscot River basin
offers its visitors all of that plus great fishing, hunting, camping and
snowmobiling opportunities.
