"Cool" Monterey Surfers
Today's photo proves that cold weather is merely an inconvenience for the most
dedicated surfers! These hardy souls braved cool temperatures and bone-chilling water to
get in some quality surfing just off the coast of Monterey, California. They
were dressed for the occasion, but I'm sure they were shivering and looking
forward to warming up when the fun was over.
Monterey, Santa Cruz, and Half Moon Bay offer some of the most exhilarating
surfing in the world, especially during the winter months. The most daring
surfers can enjoy an occasional 50 foot wave, with 30-35 foot waves occurring
often on some days.
