Salt Lake City At Night
The state of Utah is well-known for its largely Mormon population and
world-famous Great Salt Lake, but there is a lot more to the "Beehive
State" than that! First of all, there is world-class skiing on the Salt
Lake Snowshoe Trails along with lots of Spectacular winter scenery. In fact,
the Salt Lake area offers some of the finest winter recreational opportunities
you'll find anywhere!
If you prefer playing in water of the liquid variety, there are many exciting
rafting adventures available around Salt Lake City. You can experience the
beautiful Colorado and Green rivers on rafting excursions that last anywhere
from a few hours to several days. Visit Salt Lake City in the summertime and
have the time of your life on the water, but be prepared to get very wet and
stay that way for a while!
There are plenty of other wonderful opportunities for outdoor fun and excitement
in the Salt Lake City area such as golfing, biking, hiking and a whole lot more,
but some of Utah's most interesting things to see and do are right in Salt Lake
City itself!
There is a lot of interesting history to explore in Salt Lake dating all the way
back to Utah's pre-statehood. This area is the birthplace and world headquarters
of the Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints, and the strong Mormon
influence has helped shape the lives of most Utah citizens. It has also had a
profound impact on Salt Lake City's architecture, a perfect example of which is
the Salt Lake City Hall building featured in today's picture!
