Alyssa Skinner At The Pickin' Porch
As today's picture illustrates, the growing popularity of
Bluegrass Music transcends
generational boundaries. Visit most any venue where Bluegrass is performed and
you just might see musicians from age 5 to 105 up on the stage.
The pretty little girl shown above is 7 year old Alyssa Skinner, photographed
while giving a flawless performance on her Dobro at last Thursday's
Pickin' Porch show. She
often joins in with mom, dad and older brother
Zane (age 10) who perform
as The Skinner Family.
Bluegrass music is fast becoming a family tradition in our region because loving
parents like Jason and Jennifer Skinner are passing their own love of Bluegrass
down to their kids...and there is no better family tradition than pickin' and
singin' Bluegrass music together!
