There is nothing quite like the sound of smooth family vocal harmonies, and no
one does it better than The Boohers. Individually, The Boohers are excellent
singers and top-notch musicians, but as a group they are simply unbelievable.
Their own style of Bluegrass is a reflection of their roots. First and foremost,
they are Christians, always eager to give praise and thanks to the Lord for
their success.
Their strong Gospel influence combined with a deep appreciation for traditional Bluegrass,
Country, and "Mountain Music" has given them a style that sets them
apart from most other contemporary Bluegrass groups.

The Boohers Bluegrass group consists of:
- Gary Booher - Gary plays a flawless banjo and lead guitar, and his deep vocals
blend in with those of wife Lora and the boys exceptionally well.
- Lora Booher - Lora does it all. In addition to her duties as wife, mom, and
group manager & promoter, she also plays rhythm guitar and sings lead and
harmony with the voice of an angel. In short, Lora keeps the group headed in the
right direction.
- Thomas Wywrot - Thomas is from Dryden, Ontario, Canada. The addition of his
amazing lead and rhythm guitar work added an extra dimension to what was already
one of the best Bluegrass bands in the country.
- Joseph Booher - There are only three words that are needed to describe Joe's
mandolin artistry: the very best. In all my years of listening to Bluegrass
music, I have never heard a more accomplished mandolin player. Every note is
clear and true and the gymnastics performed by his fingers will make you dizzy
if you watch too closely.
Then of course there are his honey-smooth vocals on Bluegrass songs old and new,
including a knock-out performance on Tom T. and Dixie Hall's tune "A Beautiful
Home". Every time I hear him perform this song live I'm left wanting to
hear more.
- Jamey Booher - The youngest member of The Boohers, Jamey has developed into an
outstanding Bluegrass performer. He plays stand-up bass like a seasoned pro and
his singing, while already great, seems to improve even more with every show.
The talent and potential of this young man are virtually unlimited.
The Boohers are without a doubt one of the finest traditional Bluegrass groups
in the country. If they performed in a more "commercial" genre, they
would surely be household names by now. But that's OK, they're Bluegrass through
and through and that's exactly what we want them to be.
Mom and dad can be proud - sons Joe & Jamey and family friend Thomas are the
future of Bluegrass Music, and that future is in very good hands.
