Crocuses are native to southern Europe and Asia, but they are now found all over the world. In fact, crocuses are one of the world's most popular flowers because of their early blooms!
Visit most any American neighborhood in the early spring and you'll see colorful crocuses popping up through the chilly ground, often right through the snow!
Crocuses are available in several colors, including white, blue, yellow, and light orange. They are very easy to grow and care for, and they thrive in most any type of soil.
Before planting your corms (the crocus' bulb-like stem) in the fall, work up the soil well and apply bulb fertilizer. You'll enjoy a garden full of color the following spring!
