The Damascus Old Mill
The small and scenic town of Damascus,
Va is home to the subject of today's picture, the Damascus Old Mill.
Once a busy gristmill, the Damascus Old Mill has been converted into a fine
dining restaurant and live music performance venue. It also offers several
excellent guest rooms and suites.
The Old Mill Restaurant is a favorite among locals and visitors alike, including
the hoards of hikers that descend upon Damascus each spring during the Trail Days
festival.
When you visit the Damascus Old Mill, you can enjoy a wonderful meal, take in a
live musical performance and/or spend the night in comfort that rivals what
you'll experience at a fine hotel.
You can spend an evening just relaxing on the deck overlooking
the magnificent waterfall, or hang around for a few days experiencing everything
that Damascus and the surrounding area have to offer, including nearby Backbone
Rock and several world-famous trails.
It is very easy to get to the Damascus Old Mill. Just take a short 10 minute drive
down route 58 from historic Abingdon,
Va, then once you get to Damascus take the second left after you cross the
bridge.
