Being able to access your various email accounts on your iPhone is a great feature. However, accessing e-mail on your iPhone can cause problems as well.
Most of us have e-mails that we want to hang onto for one reason or another. Yet, when we go to clean out our e-mail accounts some of those “keepers” could accidentally be deleted. So, how do you go about retrieving this e-mail?
Well first of all it will come down to whether or not you have emptied the trash. And no, this isn’t referring to the trash can in your house, but the trash folder that is in your iPhone. If the trash folder hasn’t been emptied then it would be relatively simple to retrieve a deleted e-mail.
The first thing to do will be to go to the upper left corner and click on the icon that says inboxes or mailboxes. Click on this icon and you will see all of the e-mail accounts that you have connected to your iPhone. Click on the e-mail account where the deleted e-mail message was sent to, then once you are in this e-mail account you will see a menu of options located on the left hand side of the screen. Go down the list of options to trash and click on the link, this will take you to the trash folder.
Once inside the trash folder, scroll down to find the e-mail (or in some cases e-mails) that you wish to retrieve from the trash file. Select those e-mails, then go to the “Move” button which located at the bottom of the screen. After you have tapped on the Move button, you will be given a list of options to where the e-mail can be moved. These options will include the e-mail account inbox or a sub-folder that you created inside the account to keep e-mails. Choose where you want to recover the e-mail to, then click on the choice. The e-mail will automatically be moved over to that folder, which means that its no longer deleted, but retained. This method will also help you to move important e-mails out of the inbox into one of the sub-folders to ensure they won’t be deleted.
All right, some of you maybe thinking what if you did take out the trash, then realized that there was an e-mail that you wanted to keep that went with it. Is there any way to retrieve it? Good question, and one that unfortunately is bit too technical to be handled here. If this is an issue for you, or if you have other issues pertaining to the iPhone another good piece of advice is to find an online chat room that deals with iPhone issues.
There are several are free chat rooms out there, some of which don’t require a fee to ask questions about your iPhone concerns. You can also find other sources for information on the iPhone on the Internet. In short, whatever issue you may have with your iPhone can no doubt be addressed (or has already been addressed). All it will take is a bit of research to find the answer.
