Living (and loving) Life
I’m sure you are aware that it’s absolutely vital to have insurance on our homes, cars and other items of considerable value. But did you know that it’s just as important to insure a homes that’s sitting vacant with no one currently living in it?
As you probably know, vandalism, fires and acts of God can and do destroy properties that are sitting vacant and unused.
And in today’s world there is the ever-increasing trend of squatters simply moving into vacant houses and trashing them – and sometimes even burning them to the ground.
Whatever the case may be, you might not even find out about the problem in time to do something to stop it and mitigate the damage.
If you think about it, you have a considerable amount of money tied up in that house you’re trying to sell or have available for rent. Without adequate insurance coverage you could lose every penny of your investment in a matter of minutes.
Bottom line: If you own a vacant, unused or “for sale” home, I strongly recommend that you call your insurance agent today and purchase at least enough insurance coverage to equal its current market value.
