Mount Hoffman Reflecting In Lake May

Yosemite National Park is famous for its breathtaking scenery, and today's
picture of Mount Hoffman reflecting in Lake May is a perfect example of
the beauty you'll find waiting for you there.
Mount Hoffman, which rises to a height of 10,850 feet, is located at the
geographic center of Yosemite. Once you hike up the mountain to Hoffman Peak,
you'll have a vantage point from which you can see most of the park while standing
in one spot!
Yosemite National Park has 800 miles of developed trails and many undeveloped
trails for you to enjoy. One of the park's most popular hikes begins at the Lake May
Trailhead. This challenging trail passes right by Lake May with Mount
Hoffman providing a towering backdrop as you gaze across the deep blue water...a
stunning scene if ever there was one!
Once inside Yosemite, getting to Lake May Trailhead and Mount Hoffman is easy - simply follow Tioga Road (Highway 120) until you reach the Lake May turn off,
then drive approximately two miles until you reach the locked gate where you'll see the
trailhead nearby.
