Ingredients:
1 lb bacon
1 jar spicy brown mustard
1 pound fresh asparagus |
Directions:
Slice the strips of bacon in half, crosswise.
On one side of the bacon, spread a thin layer of mustard.
Rinse the asparagus and place one piece of asparagus at one end of the bacon. If the asparagus is too big, you can trim some from the blunt end (not the spear).
Roll and secure it with a wooden toothpick.
Place the rolled bacon strips on a broiler pan, making sure they don't touch each other.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 30-45 minutes, turning once, until the bacon is cooked. (This may be done early in the day.)
Place on paper towels to drain, then refrigerate until serving time.
Reheat on a baking sheet at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes or until hot. You can also reheat them in the microwave.
