Skydivers In Chester, SC

Chester County, South Carolina is home to Skydive Carolina, a wonderful, friendly organization that literally brings the experience of skydiving to the masses. We spent last Sunday with Amy and Gene as they waited for their turns to jump, but the weather didn't want to cooperate. The entire day was a series of rain showers with just enough time between them to squeeze in a quick flight out and return jump for those lucky enough to get a spot on the manifest. Amy wasn't able to jump at all, but Gene, an expert Level D certified skydiver with over 2,000 jumps under his belt, did manage to perform one tandem jump strapped to an excited young "newbie". Today's picture features a few of the skydivers on one of the jumps we were able to witness. If you look closely, you can see the actual plane that took the jumpers up coming in for a landing just as they're hitting the ground! Skydive Carolina is the premier skydiving facility in the southeastern United States. Their experienced instructors offer skydiving training programs and tandem jumps for those who simply want to try skydiving to see what it's like. On a typical Saturday, there will be over 20 flights, each carrying 20-30 skydivers, but the action fills the entire weekend from Friday till Sunday.
