Autumn Harvest Display - Abingdon, VA
The wonderful town of Abingdon, Virginia takes great pride in its colorful
history and beautiful scenery. With so many interesting things to see here, it
would take weeks to fully experience everything that Abingdon has to offer.
There are the usual popular attractions such as the Barter
Theatre, the Martha
Washington Inn, Whites
Mill, The Tavern and lots more, but a huge portion of
Abingdon's charm lies in the people themselves. The citizens of Abingdon are
well aware of the blessings that God has bestowed upon them, and they're eager
to share what they've been given with all who wish to visit - you can hear it in
their voices and see it on their faces.
Abingdon has deep agricultural roots - tobacco, beans, corn, livestock and many
other farm products helped finance the growth of the town and the surrounding
areas over the years, and although many of the small family farms in Washington
County are being sold off, the strong influence of farming still shines through.
Today's picture features a great example of the way Abingdon honors her
agricultural roots: an elaborate autumn harvest display located in the
town park.
