On Saturday morning Cheria,
Olivia and I
drove down to spend the weekend with
Amy and Gene in
Chester, SC, the location of
Skydive Carolina.
We spent Saturday afternoon watching Amy and Gene fall out of the sky several
times, then we drove to nearby Rock Hill to watch the
4th of July Fireworks
Display.
The festivities were already in full swing when we got to downtown Rock Hill.
There were tons of people taking in an antique car show, listening to live music
and enjoying all kinds of food and drink being sold by several street vendors.
It was a very fun evening with plenty of exciting things to see and do!
The fireworks display began just a few minutes after dark. It started off slowly
with quite a few pretty but unspectacular rockets bursting in the air, but
before we knew it the sky was ablaze with several colorful explosions going off
at the same time - and under a beautiful crescent moon to boot!
Since I'm just beginning to dabble in nighttime photography I
wasn't at all sure how my photos would turn out, and not surprisingly most of them
ranged from bland to downright bad. But one of them turned out pretty good...and
it's the "Picture Of The Day"!
